The breakfast was mind-blowing - way beyond our expectations! The full breakfast menu had everything from fresh squeezed orange juice to delicious cappuccinos. The suites offered stunning views of a dam and vineyards, and the hotel's location was perfect. The reception staff were super friendly and helpful, although one male waiter seemed a bit sullen. The hotel itself was beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and spacious units. Having a bar, restaurants, and an outdoor swimming pool on site was jaw-dropping. The staff created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making us feel right at home. The menu, although initially dated, turned out to be a pleasant surprise with delicious food and special attention to my dietary requirements. The wine list featured an excellent selection of local wines, some of which are hard to find elsewhere. our experience was fantastic and we highly recommend a night at this amazing hotel!

Oh, who needs old furniture with character? Let's replace it with new dining tables and chairs.

Our charming stayover in a wonderful valley of wine and olives was truly delightful. The lovely rooms were spacious and filled with thoughtful extras like a stocked fridge and cozy bathrobes. The highlight was dining at The Red Tin Roof, which offered an avant-garde experience with a backdrop of fascinating old posters. The burgers were delicious and paired perfectly with the fruity Pieter Cruythoff Sparkling wine. We also enjoyed exploring the local wine co-ops and the Olive Boutique, with its tempting selection of unique olives. Two days here was not enough to fully appreciate the beauty and flavors of this enchanting valley.

The sumptuous breakfast included in our stay was delicious and beautifully presented. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend escape and we will definitely be returning in the future.
We highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

I recently stayed at The Royal for a few nights and it was absolutely delightful. The hotel is a charming old lady, with a beautiful stoep and a bar that exudes old-school elegance. The staff were impeccable and the service made me feel like royalty. My suite was brand new and had stunning views of the mountains. The food at breakfast and dinner was excellent, and being able to enjoy it on the stoep added to the overall experience. I loved staying at The Royal and felt transported back to colonial times.
Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.
